Sam Rockwell Wins Oscar For Best Supporting Actor

The “Three Billboards” star took home his first Oscar.

The first major award of the 90th Academy Awards ceremony has been distributed.

It went to the odds-on favorite.

Sam Rockwell took home the trophy for his work in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.” The award marks Rockwell’s first Oscar.

Other nominees in the field included Woody Harrelson, Richard Jenkins, Willem Defoe and Christopher Plummer.

“Three Billboards” is up for several other awards at Sunday’s show, including Best Picture, Actress and Screenplay.

Jimmy Kimmel is hosting Sunday’s ceremony, which commenced by at 8PM ET. ABC is handling the broadcast.
