Powered by rising buzz, growing support at multiple radio formats, an ongoing Jeep campaign, a discounted price point and an unquestionably strong reaction to the song, Imagine Dragons’ “Whatever It Takes” has rocketed into the upper reaches of the US iTunes sales chart.

The song, which was outside the Top 10 as recently as Wednesday, is #5 on the all-genre chart as of press time at 1:45PM ET Thursday.

Only Post Malone’s “Psycho (featuring Ty Dolla $ign)” (#1), Drake’s “God’s Plan” (#2), Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey’s “The Middle” (#3) and Bebe Rexha’s “Meant To Be (featuring Florida Georgia Line)” are selling at faster rates.

“Whatever It Takes” is in contention to hit #1 on this week’s alternative airplay chart; it is also making major inroads at hot adult contemporary and pop.

The song is the follow-up to Imagine Dragons’ hit “Thunder,” which remains prominently positioned (at #8) on iTunes.
