Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out” Reaches 7x Platinum, “Tear In My Heart,” “Car Radio” 2x

twenty one pilots just received a handful of new digital song certifications.

The RIAA just announced a new set of US digital song certifications.

Several concern tracks by twenty one pilots.

The duo, notably, received a 7x platinum award for its mainstream breakthrough “Stressed Out.” The award confirms 7 million in US units, with each unit equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Two other twenty one pilots songs — “Car Radio” and “Tear In My Heart” — also received new multi-platinum awards on February 23. Both songs went double platinum, signifying 2 million in US units.

“Heavydirtysoul” and “Fairly Local” attained platinum status (1 million) on February 23. One day earlier, “Hometown” went gold (500,000).
