The megahits attain 6x platinum certifications in the Land Down Under.

Two monster, multi-week #1 hits just picked up new multi-platinum certifications in Australia.

Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” and Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber)” just earned 6x platinum awards in the nation.

Issued by ARIA, the awards confirm at least 420,000 in Australian units.

ARIA announced the “Perfect” certification as part of its weekly chart update; Auspop first shared the “Despacito” news.

After spending the past eight weeks at #1 on the ARIA Australian Top 50 Singles Chart, “Perfect” falls to #2 this week.

“Despacito” spent thirteen weeks at #1 last year.
