CBS Confirms “Murphy Brown” Revival For 2018-19 Season

The trend of reviving popular television series rolls on.

CBS just announced plans for a “Murphy Brown” revival.

“As its 30th anniversary approaches, MURPHY BROWN returns to a world of cable news, social media, fake news and a very different political and cultural climate,” says CBS of the revival.

Candice Bergen will return as the title character.

The network has committed to thirteen episodes of the revival, which will air during the 2018-19 television season.

“Murphy Brown” received 62 Emmy nominations during its original run. Bergen won five Outstanding Actress Emmys.
