Ratings Update: Sam Rockwell, Halsey “SNL” Episode Sets Season High In Viewership

The Sam Rockwell-Halsey edition of “Saturday Night Live” was the most-watched episode this season.

According to NBC, the January 13 edition of “Saturday Night Live” was the most-watched episode of the season.

Citing updated live+same-day data, NBC notes that the episode averaged 7.234 million live+same-day viewers.

The figure tops that of the season premiere (7.100 million) to rank as a new season high.

Sam Rockwell appeared as host for the January 13 episode, while Halsey took the stage as a musical guest.

Bill Murray and Fred Armisen made surprise appearances in the cold open, while G-Eazy joined Halsey to perform “Him & I.”

“SNL” returns this weekend with host Jessica Chastain and musical guest Troye Sivan.
