Jaguars Defeat Steelers, Will Play New England Patriots In AFC Championship

The Jaguars will head to New England for next Sunday’s AFC Championship game.

The AFC Championship game will not be a battle between the #1 and #2 seeds.

While the #1-seeded New England Patriots secured involvement by defeating the Tennessee Titans, the #2-ranked Pittsburgh Steelers came up short in Sunday’s contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars won 45-42.

As a consequence, the Jaguars will head to New England for next Sunday’s game.

The two teams did not meet in the regular season, which means the AFC Championship will offer football fans the first chance to see the Tom Brady-led Patriots tangle with the Jaguars’ revamped, highly touted defense.

CBS will be handling broadcast duties. The game kicks off at 3:05PM ET on January 21.
