Bruno Mars & Cardi B’s “Finesse” Debuts On Hot 100 Despite Short Week

The remix did not arrive until late in the tracking week.

The remix of Bruno Mars’ “Finesse,” which includes Cardi B, did not arrive until the final day of the December 29-January 4 sales and streaming tracking week — and fourth day of the January 1-7 radio tracking week.

Despite that reality, the song still rockets onto this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

“Finesse” starts at #35 on the listing, which ranks songs from all genres based on combined activity from sales, streams and radio airplay.

While the Hot 100 position also accounts for activity on the original version, the overwhelming majority of this week’s chart points come from the remix.

“Finesse” is expected to leap into the upper reaches of next week’s chart, which will account for the remix’s first full week in the market.
