Maroon 5’s “Wait,” Symon’s “Lonely Girl” Enter Top 55 At Pop Radio

The latest Maroon 5 and Symon singles are gaining traction at pop radio.

Maroon 5’s “Wait” and Symon’s “Lonely Girl” enjoy gains at pop radio this week.

Played 271 times during the December 31-January 6 tracking period, “Wait” ranks as the Mediabase pop panel’s #53 song. It was #69 last week.

“Lonely Girl” meanwhile rises six places to a new high of #55. It received 240 spins during the official tracking period.

“Wait,” which formally goes for adds on January 16, received airplay from 31 Mediabase-monitored pop stations this week. Responsible for 40 of its spins, Music Choice’s Top 40 channel ranked as the biggest supporter. San Francisco stations WiLD 94.9 (33 spins) and 99.7 NOW (27 spins) also contributed handsomely to this week’s total.

“Lonely Girl” received its airplay from a total of 8 stations. SiriusXM’s Venus (112 spins) and Hits 1 (36 spins) offered the greatest amount of support. Albuquerque’s Z106.3, the #3 supporter, offered 35 plays.
