In the epitome of a predictable outcome, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” claims #1 on this week’s edition of the ARIA Australian Top 50 Singles Chart.

The global smash is celebrating a fifth consecutive week as the top song in Australia.

In addition to activity for the immensely successful original version, the “Perfect” chart position accounts for the remixes featuring Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli.

That reality helps establish “Perfect” as a particularly convincing #1.

Camila Cabello’s “Havana (featuring Young Thug)” holds at #2 on this week’s chart, while Eminem’s “River (featuring Ed Sheeran)” spends another week at #3.

Up one place, Post Malone’s “I Fall Apart” grabs #4. Marshmello x Khalid’s “Silence” concurrently rises two spots to #5.

Other highlights from this week’s chart:
— Pnau’s “Go Bang” ascends six spots to #13.
— David Guetta & Afrojack’s “Dirty Sexy Money (featuring Charli XCX & French Montana)” rises four places to #18.
— Clean Bandit’s “I Miss You (featuring Julia Michaels)” rises six spots to #25.
— Keala Settle & The Greatest Showman Ensemble’s “This Is Me” debuts at #34.
— Vance Joy’s “Lay It On Me” re-enters at #44.
— Camelphat & Elderbrook’s “Cola” debuts at #48.
