Ratings: FOX’s “9-1-1” Ranks As Wednesday Night’s #1 Show

“9-1-1” grew from its “X-Files” lead-in — and won Wednesday in adults 18-49.

FOX’s new drama “9-1-1” got off to a hot start Wednesday.

The procedural, which built on its “X-Files” lead-in, won the night in the key young adults demographic.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, “9-1-1-” drew a 1.8 rating and averaged 6.81 million overall viewers.

The aforementioned “The X-Files” drew a 1.4 rating and 5.19 million viewers in the preceding 8PM hour.

“9-1-1,” as noted, delivered the night’s best adults 18-49 rating. It took second place in overall viewership; only “The Amazing Race” (7.31 million) drew a bigger audience.
