2018 is set to begin with new music from two of the world’s biggest stars.

Ed Sheeran released “Shape Of You” and “Castle On The Hill” during the first week of 2017.

2018 is set to open with new releases from two major music forces.

Earlier this week, Atlantic formally announced that new Bruno Mars music will arrive on January 4.

While not yet confirmed, the word is that Justin Timberlake may also be releasing new material that week. Marie-Jo Mornin, the associate music director for Montreal’s The Beat 92.5, reports that the new Timberlake single is arriving on January 5.

As it has neither been confirmed by RCA nor independently substantiated by Headline Planet, the Timberlake news should be taken as a rumor right now.

But even if the specific date proves incorrect, there should be little doubt that Timberlake will be releasing new music in the very near future.  He is playing the Super Bowl halftime show in early February and will obviously want to showcase new material before the massive audience.
