Ed Sheeran Named Spotify’s Top Artist Of 2017, “Shape Of You” Ranks As Top Track

As far as Spotify is concerned, no artist had a bigger 2017 than Ed Sheeran.

The singer-songwriter ranks as the service’s most streamed artist for 2017.

His “Shape Of You,” moreover, ranks as the year’s #1 track. The song also surpassed Drake’s “One Dance” to become the service’s most-streamed track of all-time.

Spotify detailed its annual rankings in an announcement Tuesday morning.

Drake (#2), The Weeknd (#3), Kendrick Lamar (#4) and The Chainsmokers (#5) join Ed Sheeran in the Top 5 for artists. “Despacito (Justin Bieber Remix)” (#2), “Despacito” (#3), “Something Just Like This” (#4) and “I’m The One” complete the Top 5 for tracks.
