A brand new single from a brand new pop artist has won the support of Los Angeles’ 102.7 KIIS FM.

Malia’s “Champagne Clouds” made its world premiere on the station’s “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” program.

The station subsequently added “Champagne Clouds” to its official playlist. The pickup was reported in conjunction with the October 24 pop radio add board.

Malia, a graduate of USC’s Popular Music Program, was discovered while performing at the BMI Awards.

“[Malia] started singing professionally at age 5 and spent her adolescence singing at major sporting events and other professional gigs, that helped put her through college,” adds an official bio from In2une Music.

She is the first artist signed to Friends With Pens, a new label started by successful songwriters (and friends) Ross Golan and J Kash.
