Ratings Update: FOX’s “STAR,” “Empire” Rise This Week

FOX’s “STAR” and “Empire” both posted gains in adults 18-49. “Empire” was also up in viewers.

Update: FOX’s Wednesday night dramas both posted gains in adults 18-49 this week.

“Empire” also posted a gain in the viewership column.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, “STAR” drew a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 4.51 million overall viewers. Last week’s episode drew a slightly lesser 1.4 in the demo but a slightly stronger 4.56 million viewership mark.

Lead-in “Empire” posted a 2.0 rating and 5.93 million viewers this week. Last week’s episode drew a 1.9 in the demo and 5.89 million in viewers.

Wednesday’s “STAR” slightly outperformed last week’s episode in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, the episode drew a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and 4.59 million overall viewers.

Assuming the numbers hold in the final report, they will narrowly top the 1.4 rating and 4.56 million viewer mark drawn last week.

Fast national data has the show doing a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating and 5.86 million in viewership. Last week’s episode posted 1.9 rating but 5.89 million in the viewership column.
