FOX’s “The Gifted” got off to a decent start.

The series premiere of FOX’s “The Gifted” posted solid live+same-day ratings Monday night.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s series opener drew a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 4.85 million overall viewers.

The episode built on its “Lucifer” lead-in, which posted a 1.1 rating and 3.88 million viewers in the 8PM hour.

As it currently stands, “The Gifted” ranks as Monday’s #3 network TV show for the 9PM hour (beneath NBC’s “The Voice” and ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars”). But insofar as the ABC numbers were potentially inflated by football pre-emptions, “The Gifted” may end up as the timeslot’s #2 network program when all is said and done.
