“American Dream” will take #1 on the pure sales chart.

Initial US sales and consumption projections have emerged for LCD Soundsystem’s “American Dream.”

Based on opening day data, Hits Daily Double projects that “American Dream” will close the week with 70-75,000 pure US sales. With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500), it should generate 75-80,000 in total first-week consumption units.

“American Dream” is poised to comfortably win this week’s pure US album sales race. It may have a chance at #1 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart, but that will hinge on second-week track sales and streaming figures for Lil Uzi Vert’s “Luv Is Rage 2.” Projections for that holdover album are not available at press time.

It does, however, appear safe to say that “American Dream” will be the top new release on that chart.
