Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” Reaches 6x Platinum; “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” Now Platinum

The hitmaker just picked up new certifications from the RIAA.

As of this week, Shawn Mendes’ discography boasts two pop radio number ones: “Stitches” and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.”

Both songs received new RIAA certifications on August 14.

“Stitches” improved to 6x platinum in the United States, while “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” earned a platinum certification.

The awards confirm 6 million and 1 million US units, respectively. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Stitches” peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” has thus far reached #6.
