Imagine Dragons’ “Thunder” Scheduled To Impact Hot AC Radio On September 5

“Thunder” will officially impact hot adult contemporary in early September.

As Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” enjoys a fifth week atop the Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart, Interscope confirms plans to launch the follow-up single.

“Thunder,” that single, will officially impact the Hot AC format on September 5 (Tuesday, rather than Monday, due to the Labor Day holiday).

“Thunder” has already launched at alternative radio, where it occupies a Top 10 position. It, moreover, is already receiving early airplay at Hot AC — and is just outside the Top 40.

With “Believer” still rising at pop radio (although its chance of reaching #1 may have been jeopardized by the emergence of Charlie Puth’s “Attention,” which leapfrogged it on the chart this week), Interscope has not yet announced when “Thunder” will impact that format.
