Ratings Released For MTV’s “Siesta Key” Premiere

Did the first episode of MTV’s new “Siesta Key” draw a big audience?

Live+same-day ratings have been revealed for the series premiere of “Siesta Key.”

According to data from Showbuzz Daily, the new MTV reality series drew a 0.38 adults 18-49 rating and 0.67 million overall viewers.

While not awful by contemporary cable standards (“Siesta Key” was Monday’s #13 cable original in adults 18-49), the numbers are certainly not spectacular. They do not provide optimism that “Siesta Key” will become MTV’s next pop culture phenomenon.

It is also worth noting that “Siesta Key” lost a huge portion of its “Teen Mom” lead-in. “Teen Mom” drew a 0.93 adults 18-49 rating and 1.58 million viewers in the 9PM hour.
