Thomas Rhett’s new single “Unforgettable” is making a strong early impact on the US iTunes Sales Chart.

The song, which debuted late Thursday/early Friday, entered the Top 5 in the early morning hours on Saturday.

By press time at 12:15PM ET Saturday, it is #4 on the all-genre chart. Only Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s #1 “Despacito,” Liam Payne’s #2 “Strip That Down (featuring Quavo),” and Niall Horan’s #3 “Slow Hands” are selling at a faster pace.

“Unforgettable” is, moreover, #1 on the country-specific chart. It is also the best-selling of the “New Music Friday” releases.

Aided by the enthusiasm one would expect for a new Thomas Rhett single, “Unforgettable” also benefited from strong first-day exposure at country radio. It received a total of 585 first-day plays from Mediabase-monitored county stations; eighteen such stations played the song 10 or more times.
