Melanie Martinez just earned her first platinum single certification in the United States.

According to the RIAA, the artist’s single “Pity Party” reached platinum status on July 10, 2017.

The award confirms 1 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Martinez’ discography also includes the platinum-certified song “Dollhouse” and gold-certified songs “Carousel” and “Soap.” Her album “Cry Baby” is platinum.
