Making good on Headline Planet’s projection, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber)” reaches #1 on this week’s Mediabase US pop radio airplay chart.

Up one place from last week’s position, “Despacito” received ~18,150 spins during the July 2-8 tracking week. This week’s spin count tops last week’s mark by 708 plays.

“Despacito” seizes the throne from Zedd & Alessia Cara’s “Stay,” which drops to #2 after six weeks on top. “Stay” received ~17,941 tracking week spins (-255).

DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One (featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne)” holds at #3 with ~15,215 spins (+568), while a spin count of ~13,994 (+1,205) keeps Halsey’s “Now Or Never” at #4.

Credited with ~11,243 tracking week spins (-1,416), Julia Michaels’ “Issues” holds at #5.
