Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber)” will reach #1 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Despacito” received 2,407 spins on Sunday — the first day of the July 2-8 tracking week. Up 6.8% from last Sunday’s count, the tally slots “Despacito” at #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.

While the week is still young, there is no reason to doubt “Despacito” will hold onto the #1 spot for the duration of the tracking period.

“Despacito” will seize the throne from Zedd & Alessia Cara’s “Stay,” which spent the past six weeks at #1.
