Update: Lorde appeared Thursday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
The appearance, which included an interview and performance, came in support of her sophomore album “Melodrama,” which is now available for purchase.
Lorde’s interview included a discussion about her secret Instagram account dedicated to onion rings. She later took the stage to sing “Perfect Places.”

In support and celebration of her new album “Melodrama,” Lorde appears on Thursday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
The appearance marks Lorde’s first “Tonight Show” visit since the November 25, 2014 episode.
Like that visit, the Grammy-winning artist fills a dual role on the broadcast.
She joins host Jimmy Fallon for an interview before closing the show with a performance. In this case, she performs “Perfect Places” from her new album.
Taped earlier Thursday, the episode also features interviews with Ethan Hawke and “mustache experts” Russell Cordeiro and Allan Peterkin.
