Selena Gomez’ “Bad Liar,” Miley Cyrus’ “Malibu” Heading Top 20 At Pop Radio

“Bad Liar” and “Malibu” will join the Top 20 on this week’s pop radio airplay chart.

Selena Gomez [NBC]

Respectively in their third and fourth weeks on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart, Selena Gomez’ “Bad Liar” and Miley Cyrus’ “Malibu” are poised to earn Top 20 positions.

“Bad Liar” received 2,541 spins during the first four days of the May 28-June 3 tracking period. Up 76.9% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Bad Liar” at #18 on Mediabase’s building chart.

“Malibu,” which received 2,495 spins during the four-day window (+21.2%), is #19 on the building chart.

At worst, the songs face one real threat from below (Imagine Dragons’ building #20 single “Believer”). They should thus have no trouble remaining in the Top 20 through the close of tracking.

They should actually move higher than their current building positions.

Both are poised to overtake Linkin Park’s building #17 “Heavy (featuring kiiara)” (2601 spins, -28.2%), which is in a free fall at the format.

The Chainsmokers’ building #16 “Paris” is, moreover, poised to be removed as a recurrent. That will lift the Gomez and Cyrus songs by an additional place on the final chart.
