Julia Michaels To Play Billboard Music Awards As T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist

Earlier this year, Julia Michaels was named the iHeartRadio “On The Verge” artist at pop radio.

This Sunday, she will play the Billboard Music Awards as the T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist.

Dick Clark Productions confirmed the news Friday morning.

Michaels recently received a platinum certification for her debut single “Issues,” which has hit the Top 10 at pop radio and Top 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.

She will be performing that song at Sunday’s ceremony.

Camila Cabello, The Chainsmokers, Miley Cyrus, Jason Derulo, Celine Dion, Drake, Florida Georgia Line, David Guetta, Halsey, Sam Hunt, Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Lil Wayne, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran and 2017 Billboard Music Awards ICON Award recipient, Cher will also be taking the stage.

Sunday’s 2017 Billboard Music Awards ceremony airs at 8PM ET/5PM PT on ABC.
