ABC Confirms Katy Perry As “American Idol” Judge; Perry Comments

Katy Perry is the first judge confirmed for the new season of “American Idol.”

The rumor was true; Katy Perry is headed to “American Idol.”

During Tuesday’s upfront presentation, ABC announced that Katy Perry will be a judge on the upcoming sixteenth season (and first ABC season) of the iconic music competition series.

Perry is the first principal confirmed for the show. The host and other judges will be announced soon.
