Initial projections suggested that Chris Stapleton’s “From A Room, Volume 1” would win the pure US album sales race while Logic’s “Everybody” would lead in overall consumption.

Updated projections have Stapleton’s album winning the pure sales race by an even wider margin. They meanwhile indicate that “From A Room, Volume 1” also has a legitimate shot of topping “Everybody” in consumption.

According to Hits Daily Double, “From A Room” is expected to sell 185-195,000 pure US copies by the close of tracking. The figure will convincingly rank as the week’s best.

“Everybody,” which will take #2 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales (pure sales) chart, is now trending for 130-140,000 first-week copies.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, both albums are expected to generate 200-210,000 in overall consumption. Both albums, therefore, have a shot at claiming #1 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart.

— Issued Saturday, the initial projections said that Stapleton’s album would sell 175-185,000 pure US copies and drive 185-200,000 consumption units. “Everybody” was initially tracking for 155-165,000 pure sales and 220-240,000 consumption units.
