News On Pop Radio Airplay For Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands”

Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” is off to a good start at pop radio. One station has already played it 25 times.

Niall Horan’s new single “Slow Hands,” which premiered at 9AM ET Thursday, has already received a considerable amount of support at pop radio.

Five stations played the song more than ten times during its first two days in the market.

According to Mediabase, the biggest early supporter has been SiriusXM Hits 1. The popular satellite station had played “Slow Hands” a whopping 25 times by the close of tracking Friday.

Salt Lake City’s Mix 105.1 and Myrtle Beach’s Energy 92.1, the next-biggest supporters, respectively played the song 17 times and 16 times in its first two days.

Detroit’s 98.7 AMP offered 14 spins, and Portsmouth’s Z107 played “Slow Hands” 11 times.

Baltimore’s Mix 106.5 (9 spins), San Francisco’s 99.7 NOW (9 spins), New York’s Z100 (9 spins), Chicago’s B96 (8 spins), San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9 (8 spins), New Orleans’ B97 (8 spins), and Nashville’s i106.7 (8 spins) also represent notable early supporters.

Dozens of other stations have played “Slow Hands” between 1 and 7 times.

“Slow Hands” is the follow-up to “This Town,” which reached the Top 15 at pop radio.
