Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” received strong first day support at pop radio.

Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” received a considerable amount of first day support from pop radio stations.

According to Mediabase, Orlando’s 101.9 AMP and Radio Disney led the way. By the end of the song’s first day, they had played the song 23 and 22 times, respectively.

Salt Lake City’s Mix 105.1 also represented a big supporter; it offered 17 spins out of the gate.

A handful of other stations — including those in big markets like Philadelphia, San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles — played the song between 6 and 13 times.

Many others offered at least a few first-day spins.

“There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back,” which is currently #1 on the US iTunes store, officially impacts pop on April 25.
