Report: Depeche Mode’s “Spirit” Debuts In Top 5 For US Sales, Consumption

Depeche Mode [NBC]

It appears Depeche Mode’s “Spirit” will claim a Top 5 position on this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.

According to Hits/BuzzAngle, “Spirit” sold approximately ~60,512 pure US albums during its first week of release. The figure is the week’s fourth-best, which should allow for #4 on the Top Album Sales chart.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “Spirit” generated about ~62,369 total US consumption units. The figure should be enough for #5 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart.

Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data will differ slightly from that reported by Hits. The slight discrepancy in sales figures should not, however, be enough to affect the album’s position on either chart.

— Credited with ~230,050 pure US sales and ~504,609 pure US units, Drake’s “More Life” will take #1 on both listings. Rick Ross’ “Rather You Than Me” and “Beauty And The Beast” will challenge for #2 on the pure sales chart, while taking #3 and #4, respectively, on the Billboard 200. Ed Sheeran’s “Divide,” the 5 album for pure sales, will be #2 on the Billboard 200.
