The Weeknd’s Single “Starboy” Earns Quadruple Platinum Certification

Going into March 9, 2017, the title track from The Weeknd’s “Starboy” was double platinum in the United States.

By the end of the day, it had been upgraded to quadruple platinum.

The RIAA formally shared news of the certification, which confirms at least 4 million in US units.

Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Starboy,” which features Daft Punk, reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
