While it has not yet been confirmed as an official US radio single, Ed Sheeran’s “Galway Girl” is receiving some major market pop airplay.

According to Mediabase, Dallas’ 106.1 KISS played the “Divide” track 22 times during the period between March 10 and 16.

Detroit’s 98.7 AMP played it 4 times within that window, while New York’s Z100 offered 3 spins.

Given the nature of the song, “Galway Girl” will likely receive even more airplay on March 17 in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

With “Shape Of You” still receiving a mammoth amount of airplay, Atlantic has faced no urgency in aggressively pushing a follow-up US radio single.

Indications seem to be that Castle On The Hill” is getting the nod, and stations have accordingly been ramping up their airplay. Chicago’s B96 played “Castle” a whopping 80 times over the past seven days, while six other stations have played it at least 20 times.
