While comfortably ahead of the average from March of last year, the overnight ratings for this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” trail those posted by the previous episode.

Citing metered market data, NBC says Saturday’s “SNL” drew a 4.8 overnight household rating. The episode, which featured host Scarlett Johansson and musical guest Lorde, posted a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Hosted by Octavia Spencer and featuring musical guest Father John Misty, last week’s episode drew a 5.2 in households and a 2.3 local adults 18-49 rating.

Off for the next few weeks, “SNL” returns on April 8 with host Louis CK and musical guest The Chainsmokers.
