Ratings: “Designated Survivor” Returns Up In Demo, Down In Viewers From Fall Finale

While it drew a smaller overall live+same-day audience, the spring premiere of “Designated Survivor” outperformed the fall finale in adults 18-49.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Designated Survivor” drew a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 5.88 million overall viewers.

The December 14 fall finale drew a 1.2 in the demo but posted a 6.18 million viewership average.

This week’s “Designated Survivor” won the 10PM timeslot in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

ABC’s Wednesday lineup also included “The Goldbergs” (1.7, 5.68 million), “Speechless” (1.5, 4.99 million), “Modern Family” (1.9, 6.51 million) and “black-ish” (1.4, 5.11 million).
