Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” Earns Gold Certification In US

“Redbone” recently became the fifth Childish Gambino single to receive a certification from the RIAA.

The song attained gold status on February 24, 2017.

The certification confirms 500,000 in US units; one unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Childish Gambino also holds gold certifications for “Bonfire” and “Sweatpants.” His “3005” and “Heartbeat” are officially platinum in the United States.

“Redbone,” which appears on his 2006 album “Awaken, My Love,” has thus far peaked at #48 on the Billboard Hot 100.
