BANKS Comments As Fans Compare Zedd & Alessia Cara’s “Stay” To Her “Poltergeist”

Upon its release Thursday, numerous music fans pointed out a striking similarity between the beginning of Zedd & Alessia Cara’s new “Stay” and the credited, processed “Hold On Jus’ a Li’l While Longer” sample that appears on BANKS’ 2016 song “Poltergeist.”

One of those fans tagged BANKS, Zedd and Alessia Cara in a Tweet about the matter.

Friday morning, BANKS offered a response.

“My fans know,” wrote the singer-songwriter. “That is all I care about.”

Neither Zedd nor Alessia Cara has responded at press time.

“Stay” is currently #11 on the US iTunes single sales chart.
