Sam Hunt Returns To Top 3 On US iTunes Single Sales Chart; Marian Hill Back In Top 10

Sam Hunt [ABC]

Sam Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road” continues to resonate with music buyers.

The single, which reached #1 on the US iTunes sales chart upon release at the beginning of February, has spent the balance of the month in the Top 10.

Tuesday morning, it returned to the Top 5 — a region it had not occupied since Grammy Awards weekend.

By Tuesday evening, it was back in the Top 3.

“Body Like A Back Road” is #3 as of 11:50PM ET. Only Ed Sheeran’s #1 “Shape Of You” and Bruno Mars’ #2 “That’s What I Like” are currently selling at a faster pace (and Mars’ single only holds a slight advantage).

As “Body Like A Back Road” returned to the Top 5 (and then Top 3), another momentum-rich song returned to the Top 10. Marian Hill’s “Down,” which has been in the #11-15 range since Grammy weekend, was back up to #9 by late Tuesday night.

“Down” continues to benefit from its inclusion in the Apple iPhone + AirPods commercial. It is also receiving rapidly growing exposure at the pop, rhythmic, hot adult contemporary and alternative radio formats.
