Rihanna’s “Love On The Brain” has a good chance of reaching the Top 5 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.
The throwback “ANTI” single received 8,794 spins during the first five days of the February 12-18 tracking week.
While the count is only enough for #6 on Mediabase’s building chart, there is reason to believe it will reach #5 by the close of tracking.
“Love On The Brain” is only twenty spins behind the Maroon 5’s building #5 “Don’t Wanna Know (featuring Kendrick Lamar).” It also has considerably more momentum — while its spin count is up 8.6% over last week’s mark, the “Don’t Wanna Know” tally is down 14.0% from the same-time-last-week mark.
“Love On The Brain,” which was #7 on this past week’s official airplay chart, has already posted the highest pop radio peak among “ANTI” singles.
Barring an unexpected change in trajectory, it will become the album’s first Top 5 pop hit this week.
