Future’s Album Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart; Ryan Adams, Jessie James Decker Enter Top 5

He may have only announced the release a few days ago, but Future’s self-titled album is having no trouble finding an audience.

“Future” debuted on the US iTunes store late Thursday night, and it quickly shot to #1 on the all-genre albums chart. It remains in that position as of 1:35AM ET.

“Future” is one of three new releases currently in the Top 5. Ryan Adams’ new “Prisoner” is currently #3 on the chart, while Jessie James Decker’s “Gold” EP is #4.

The “Fifty Shades Darker” (#2) and “Trolls” soundtracks (#5) also hold Top 5 positions.

Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” (#6), Beyonce’s “Lemonade” (#7), Adele’s “25” (#8), Alison Krauss’ new “Windy City” (#9) and the “La La Land” soundtrack form the balance of the Top 10.
