Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” Headed For #1 On This Week’s Pop Radio Chart

Ed Sheeran [CBS]

After two weeks at #1, Machine Gun Kelly x Camila Cabello’s “Bad Things” is expected to cede its pop radio throne this week.

The new leader will be Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You,” which is only in its seventh week on the Mediabase airplay chart.

Sheeran’s smash received 4,905 spins during the first two days of the February 12-18 tracking week. Up 20.9% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Shape Of You” at #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.

“Bad Things” is #2 with 4,849 spins (-1.6%).

Given its rate of gain and the absence of any imminent threat, “Shape Of You” should have no trouble retaining its #1 position through the close of tracking.

“Shape” will follow Sheeran’s multi-platinum hit “Thinking Out Loud” in becoming his second pop radio #1.
