Ratings: The CW’s “Reign” Returns Softly

Reign [The CW]

The fourth (and final) “Reign” season premiere did not ignite much live+same-day interest.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Friday’s episode drew a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 0.78 million total viewers. The demo rating ties a series low, while the viewership figure is the second-lowest in the series’ history.

The viewership sum does, however, represent a new low for a Friday edition of “Reign.”

Airing in the same Friday at 9PM timeslot, last season’s premiere posted a 0.3 rating and 0.95 million in viewership on October 9, 2015. The finale, which aired on Monday, June 20, drew a 0.3 rating and 0.93 million in viewership.

The CW led into “Reign” with “The Vampire Diaries” (0.4, 1.14 million).
