On September 19, 2016, “3005” became the first Childish Gambino single to earn a platinum award in the United States.

On January 26, 2017, “Heartbeat” became the second.

The RIAA confirmed the news in its monthly certification recap. The honor confirms 1 million in US units, with each unit equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Heartbeat” appears on Gambino’s 2011 album “Camp.”
