Blake Shelton’s “A Guy With A Girl” Set To Reach #1 At Country Radio

“A Guy With A Girl” is set to become Blake Shelton’s 23rd country radio number one.

Shelton’s single holds a convincing lead on Mediabase’s building chart following the first six days of the January 15-21 tracking week. Given the magnitude of its lead and the fact that it is still accelerating, it will face no trouble retaining its #1 position through the close of tracking.

It is thus a lock to appear at #1 on this week’s official Mediabase country radio singles chart.

“A Guy With A Girl” is the follow-up to Shelton’s “She’s Got A Way With Words,” which was his first single since 2009’s “I’ll Just Hold On” to miss the chart’s summit.

— In addition to “A Guy With A Girl,” the Top 5 on this week’s chart will likely include Thomas Rhett’s “Star Of The Show,” Carrie Underwood’s “Dirty Laundry” (last week’s #1), Dustin Lynch’s “Seein’ Red,” and Little Big Town’s “Better Man.”
