Update: Billboard has made the news official: Pentatonix’s “A Pentatonix Christmas” spends a second week at #1 on Top Album Sales and the Billboard 200.

It tops the former with what Billboard reports as 82K pure US sales. Its victory on the latter comes thanks to a consumption total (pure album sales + track sales/10 + track streams/1500) of 101K.

The Weeknd’s “Starboy” is #2 on the BB200 with 94K in weekly consumption units. Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” takes #3 with 81K, while J. Cole’s “4 Your Eyez Only” (#4, 75K) and the “Hamilton” cast recording (#5, 54K) complete the Top 5.

Pentatonix’s “A Pentatonix Christmas” was the USA’s best-selling album during the week leading up to Christmas.

It was also the best-selling album during the week that included Christmas.

According to BuzzAngle/Hits, “A Pentatonix Christmas” sold approximately 81,458 pure US copies during the December 23-29 tracking week. The count comfortably ranks as the week’s best.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “A Pentatonix Christmas” generated ~100,621 total weekly consumption units. That count is also the week’s best, although its margin of victory is not quite as significant.

Due Monday, Billboard’s more authoritative data will differ slightly from that reported by BuzzAngle. The discrepancy should not, however, be enough to change the pure sales outcome: “A Pentatonix Christmas” will retain its #1 position on Top Album Sales.

The album’s consumption (Billboard 200) victory should also hold, although fans should wait until the Billboard data arrives before officially commencing celebration.

Per BuzzAngle, here are this week’s top pure sales performers:
Pentatonix’s Pentatonix Christmas: 81,458
Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic: 61,312
J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only: 44,961
Hamilton Original Broadway Cast Recording: 39,021
Garth Brooks’ The Ultimate Collection: 37,499

Per BuzzAngle, here are this week’s top consumption performers:
A Pentatonix Christmas: 100,621
The Weeknd’s Starboy: 93,447
