Team Blake’s Sundance Head Wins Season Eleven Of “The Voice,” Billy Gilman Named Runner-Up

Sundance Head [NBC]

Nearly ten years ago, Sundance Head was eliminated in the last semifinal round on FOX’s “American Idol.” His elimination — and Sanjaya Malakar’s corresponding ascent into the Top 12 — made major waves at the time.

Tuesday night, Sundance proved victorious on a different music competition series. He was crowned the winner of “The Voice” season eleven.

Representing Team Blake, Head delivered numerous memorable performances throughout the season. Two of them — “Me And Jesus” and “Darlin Don’t Go” — reached #1 on the all-genre US iTunes store.

Sundance Head follows Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery and Craig Wayne Boyd in becoming the fifth Team Blake contestant to win NBC’s competition.

Team Adam’s Billy Gilman was named runner-up, while Team Alicia’s We McDonald and Team Adam’s Josh Gallagher respectively finished in third and fourth place.
