Aided by “on the hour” airplay promotions and the enthusiasm one would expect for a new John Mayer single, “Love On The Weekend” is poised to debut impressively on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.
“Love On The Weekend,” which debuted in the afternoon of November 17, had received 332 Hot AC spins by the end of November 18.
The count was enough for #34 on Mediabase’s building Hot AC chart, which ranks songs based on airplay from the first six days of the November 13-19 tracking week.
“Love On The Weekend” will have no trouble remaining firmly inside the Top 40 through the close of tracking.
Positioned as his return to mainstream/pop music, “Love On The Weekend” is the lead single from Mayer’s forthcoming album “The Search For Everything.”
