The Chainsmokers & Halsey’s “Closer” Likely Returning To #1 At Pop Radio

While it has almost no chance of reclaiming its Hot 100 throne this week, The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” very likely will return to #1 on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Closer,” which received 7,964 spins during the first three days of the November 13-19 tracking week, is currently #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.

DJ Snake’s building #2 “Let Me Love You (featuring DJ Snake)” is not too far behind (7,743 spins), but it is decelerating at a faster rate. Whereas “Closer” is down 1.5% from the same-time-last-week mark, “Let Me Love You” is off by 3.4%.

The two songs are distantly above the rest of the pack; nothing else will be able to challenge for #1 this week.

After spending seven consecutive weeks at #1, “Closer” ceded its pop radio throne to “Let Me Love You” this past week.
