Green Day’s “Bang Bang” Reaches #1 At Alternative Radio

Formerly #1 at active rock radio, Green Day’s “Bang Bang” reaches the top spot on this week’s Mediabase alternative airplay chart.

Played ~3,197 times during the October 23-29 tracking week (+233), “Bang Bang” rises two places to #1. It seizes the throne from twenty one pilots’ “Heathens,” which enjoyed a nine-week reign at #1.

Bastille’s “Good Grief” holds at #2 with ~3,139 weekly spins (+100), while the aforementioned “Heathens” drops to #3 with ~3,022 (-132).

Up one place, Kings Of Leon’s “Waste A Moment” takes #4. The lead “WALLS” single received ~2,564 weekly spins (+162).

The Head And The Heart’s “All We Ever Knew,” which received ~2,500 in tracking week plays (-2), drops one spot to #5.
